Megan hasn't yet written her own bio yet, which means that she is forced to have a bio written by me, the guy making her webpage. Today, for Megan's bio, I'd like to talk for a bit about proper roommate etiquette and the dishwasher :

When you use dishes, it is your responsibility to immediately rinse them out and head to the dishwasher. Do not be confused. There is no point in which you should put your dishes in the sink. The sink is the last resort. Many people should reread that last statement and let it sink in. Now, when you open the dishwasher, one of three things will happen :

1) The dishwasher will have room for your dishes, and you put them in and close it again. This is ideal, and your job is done.

2) The dishwasher is full and has no room for your dishes. This means that it is your duty to put soap in the dishwasher and run it. This is the only time that it is acceptable to leave your dishes in the sink, as they are waiting for the dishwasher to be empty.

3) The dishwasher is locked. If it is locked, this means that it has just been run. It is now your responsibility to spend one or two minutes to unload the dishwasher, and then put your dishes into it once it is emptied along with anybody else's dishes that are in the sink when they followed rule number two.

You will notice that none of these contingency plans involve dried crusty nastified dishes left on the counter. Take note.
